Ministry says pro-inflation factors to remain in June

MOSCOW, Jun 8 (PRIME) -- Different factors, including pro-inflation ones, will influence inflation in June, the Economic Development Ministry said in a statement late on Monday.

"Mixed factors will continue to affect inflation in June -- on the one hand, the persisting negative price situation on the global market, on the other hand stabilization of the ruble rate and a seasonal arrival of fruit and vegetables to the market," the document read.

The pro-inflation factors strengthened in May, mostly connected with the food price increase on the global market and a rise of prices for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The effect was exacerbated by a weakening ruble in April. Some of these factors are to continue.
